A platform for ideas that deserve to exist beyond a screen.

Skade Residents is built around a simple belief: the most meaningful collections begin with a real creative perspective.

Residents collaborate with Skade to develop limited or ongoing collections called Chapters. Each Chapter begins with the creator’s work, story, style, or point of view.

Skade helps translate that vision into products, storefronts, production workflows, fulfillment, and a launch that still feels unmistakably theirs.

02 / The Chapter

Not merchandise. A creative world with your name on it.

A Chapter is a collection developed around one Resident’s creative identity. It may begin with artwork, photography, illustration, tattoo work, film, graphic design, or an original concept.

Depending on the collaboration, a Chapter may include apparel, accessories, prints, limited products, digital storytelling, or other formats that fit the work.

The objective is not to place a logo on a product. It is to build something that feels authored.

Every collaboration is different, but the development process follows a clear shared structure.

    Develop

    Skade and the selected creator shape the Chapter together.

    Approve

    Products, artwork placement, mockups, and terms are reviewed.

  4. 04

    Launch

    The Chapter receives its own storefront and launch story.

  5. 05

    Earn

    The Resident participates according to the written agreement.

Nothing moves into production until Skade and the Resident approve the creative direction and collaboration terms in writing.

06 / Ownership & Earnings

Your work remains yours.

Creators retain ownership of their original work unless a different written agreement is made. Skade receives only the usage or licensing rights defined for the collaboration.

Each selected Chapter includes a written compensation structure agreed upon before launch. Depending on the collaboration, this may include a percentage of eligible net sales, a fixed creative fee, or another project-specific arrangement.

The agreement defines eligible sales, calculations, payment timing, refunds, returns, discounts, taxes, shipping, transaction costs, and promotional responsibilities.

Nothing moves forward until the creative rights and compensation terms are clear to both sides.

Do I need a large following?
No. Reach can help a launch, but it is not the main selection criterion. Originality, consistency, professionalism, and the story behind the work matter more.
Do I need to live in Colorado?
No. Skade is based in Colorado, but Residents may be located in different countries as long as the collaboration can be coordinated effectively.
Do I need finished designs when I apply?
No. Applicants may share a portfolio, existing work, a concept, or a creative direction. Selected applicants receive instructions for the files required during development.
Who owns the original artwork?
The creator retains ownership unless a different written agreement is made. Skade receives only the usage or licensing rights defined in the collaboration agreement.
Do Residents approve products and mockups?
Yes. Product selection, artwork placement, and meaningful creative changes are reviewed with the Resident before a Chapter is approved.
How are Resident earnings calculated?
The calculation is defined in the written agreement. It may be based on eligible net sales, a fixed creative fee, or another agreed structure.
How and when are Residents paid?
The payment method and schedule are defined in each agreement. Available methods may include PayPal, Wise, or bank transfer, depending on location and account eligibility.
Does applying guarantee a collaboration?
No. Every application is reviewed individually, and only selected applicants are contacted about developing a potential Chapter.
Does Skade guarantee sales?
No. Skade provides the agreed development, platform, storefront, production workflow, and campaign support, but no sales volume or earnings level can be guaranteed.
Can teams, duos, collectives, or studios apply?
Yes, provided ownership, responsibilities, and authority to enter into the collaboration are clearly identified.
